About This Event

“Painting Our Path to the Polls” is sponsored and hosted by the PA National Organization for Women (NOW) Education Fund in collaboration with The Apologues to explore the power of our vote. We are highlighting the issue of bodily autonomy and how it is reflected on the November 8, 2022, ballot.

“My Body, My Choice” is the cornerstone of Reproductive Justice, one of the six core issues that are fundamental to the mission of PA NOW: Economic Justice, Gender Equality, Combatting Racism, Ending Violence Against Women, and Constitutional Equity.

The two local muralists will frame the theme “My Body, My Choice” on the canvas. They will speak briefly on what they painted and how that is connected to making informed choices as a voter. Our guests will be invited to express their thoughts about bodily autonomy & voting by painting on the mural as well.

There will be a spoken word performance, light refreshments, and information about voting and the impact of the recent Supreme Court decisions. Updates about the landscape of abortion in the nation and in Pennsylvania will be presented.
