Philadelphians are gathering this evening at Love Park, Center City, at 7PM to participate in the National Moment of Silence, a peaceful vigil to remember Michael Brown, who was senselessly shot down in Ferguson, MO earlier this week, and to reflect on all the violence inflicted on African American communities and the injustice that follows in its wake.
Protests still wrack the city of Ferguson, and the world is witness to the failure of our police forces to protect and serve. Hopefully, nationally, we can begin to come together in our demands for lawfully prosecuted justice, against racism, and against an increasingly militarized domestic police force.
