PITTSBURGH, PA — Conor Lamb was endorsed today by the National Organization for Women (NOW) Political Action Committee in the Democratic primary for U. S. Senate. With more than 13,000 contributing members in its Pennsylvania chapter, NOW’s endorsement adds to the growing momentum for Lamb and continues to expand the diverse coalition of advocacy organizations, labor unions, and elected officials backing Lamb in the competitive Democratic primary.
“Women’s right to choose is seriously at risk,” said Nina Ahmad, Ph.D., Chair of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) Political Action Committee (PAC). “Women’s healthcare must not be made into political and ideological football. Congressman Conor Lamb’s record is evidence of his strong support for women’s rights and Pennsylvania NOW looks forward to partnering with him when he is elected to the Senate.”
