Join Pennsylvania NOW, NOW-endorsed candidates and elected officials, and other activists and supporters committed to a multi-issue and multi-strategy approach to achieving gender justice for a happy hour in support of PA NOW on Thursday, August 30th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Philadelphia Distilling!
Since our founding in 1966, NOW’s purpose is to take action through intersectional grassroots activism to promote feminist ideals, lead societal change, eliminate discrimination, and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political, and economic life. And in this uphill battle, sometimes you need to have a drink and chance to connect with other individuals committed to that same purpose!
Women’s votes will decide the future. PA NOW is determined to elect a majority of elected officials who are committed to the advancement of women’s rights in all levels of political office.
These issues include, but are not limited to:
- Reproductive rights and justice
- Economic justice
- Ending violence against women
- Racial justice
- LBGTQ rights
- Constitutional Equality
After the elections, NOW activists work with officials we helped elect to assist and encourage them in meeting their commitment to be leaders in the fight for gender justice.
