Calling all student activists!
Emergency contraception (EC, sometimes called Plan B) is an important option for preventing pregnancy after sex – but it can be difficult to get. One great way to improve access on your campus is to advocate for a vending machine that includes EC and other sexual health products (like condoms and pregnancy tests) – about 13 campuses have these so far.
The American Society for Emergency Contraception is launching a nation-wide project to help students effectively advocate for EC vending machines on their campus. As part of this project, they are developing a toolkit that provides logistical support and policy guidelines for your state. They are launching a communication and collaboration platform so that student activists across the country can share information, support, and strategies with each other as they advocate for EC vending machines on their campus.
If you’re interested in joining this group, please complete this and they will include you once the platform is live. They welcome students from all types of schools in diverse geographic areas, and would love to include people at all stages of this process – including those who are interested but haven’t gotten started.
